Large with massively thick walls, this Ashton Pebble Shell was made back when Bill Taylor was carving the inventory and taking advantage of different rusticating techniques and styles. This british tan billiard does have some significant inner rim darkening and more along the broad, smooth rim. The drilling is near perfect as evident in the smooth and open draw from the draft hole all the way at the bottom of a mostly cylindrical chamber. An excellent choice for English, Balkans, and any broad leaf that is friendly to the smoker's tongue, this English sitter is still in outstanding condition and promises satisfaction to generations more of tobacco enthusiasts.
