Jack Weinberger Bent Billiard Freehand with Plateau Estate Pipe with Silver Repair Band

Finished smooth with a plateaued rim left raw and natural, this American handmade estate pipe from Jack Weinberger suffered a crack just along the mortise wall at some point in its history.  The repair band is stamped STERLING and the work was clearly well done as the fit is flush and perfect.  There is some rim darkening and a number of minor handling marks.  The logo along the shank is almost completely covered by the silver, but this long stemmed smoker has been well restored and the chamber has been reamed down to the original wood and dimensions.  The thick walls cover a wide and deep chamber that will inevitably allow large embers while being smoked.  There is some minor charring along the inside walls but nothing that requires a bowl coating.
