Details
Finished in british tan with a spectacular growth ring revealing and detailed sandblast, this Ashton Old Church estate pipe from Bill Taylor's time has all the proportions of a good, strong English smoker. Bill should get credit for the orientation the grain takes to the pipe shape, but the details are all on the briar itself. Wide in the thick walled chamber, this cylindrical design is particularly helpful for straight English and Balkan blends, providing a consistent draw and flavor profile from start to finish. There is some minor darkening, but this well drilled and smooth drawing English sitter is serious smoker intended for long sessions and a comfortable path or chair to enhance the session.
