Tall with a very deep and tapered chamber surrounded by thick briar walls, this Savinelli Dry System 1604 Oom Paul sitter estate pipe is stemmed with the Italian maker's answer to the famous Peterson Lip stem. Essentially the same idea, a top mounted draft on a deep button that keeps the tongue away from the smoke as it enters the mouth, only the Dry System has a wider draft to help dissipate the smoke on arrival. There is some very minor inner rim darkening and some handling marks about the natural contrast, smooth finished stummel but this Italian briar is in outstanding condition with a military mounted tenon just wide enough it could house a 6mm filter for those who are determined to use one.
