The finish of this Mayfair billiard estate pipe is smooth with plenty of dense and well-oriented grain though this long shanked English smoker from the Sasieni London factory does have a number of dark fills. The chamber is just shy of perfectly cylindrical and is well drilled with plenty of wall to insulate a large ember for those tongue friendly blends. There is some minor inner rim darkening and the draw here is smooth and open, but there is just something about these English billiards with a little extra oomph in the shank that draws us into the sweep of the taper and the comfortable bite it affords.
