Details

Made before the merger with the Cadogan Group in 1980 and as unique as the stamped series from the English maker, this GBD Unique estate pipe is the only one we've ever seen from the famous marquee anywhere near the walrus shape.  Even more impressive with a diamond shank this singular smoker does have a replacement stem that does not include the original rhondelle and while it wasn't done in our workshop, it is fitted flush with an open slot and a smooth draw.  There is some darkening across the rim and there are some handling marks from regular use, but this interesting English briar is still in great shape with a capacious cylindrical chamber eager for an aromatic burley based blend or a complex, broad cut native English tobacco.
