While it is a military mount, the stem seen fitted to this Peterson 406 estate pipe is a replacement. We don't know who did the work, but it was done well and the fit is outstanding with a wonderfully smooth and open draw. With just a touch of bend, this replacement captures the charm of the original 406 prince shape, seen here with a silver shank cap. There are some significant handling marks and the rim has been darkened with use, but this Irish and dark, smooth smoker is still in outstanding condition with an open and smooth draw to take advantage of such a wide chamber.
