Made by Astley's for their famous, old, and long running tobacco shop on Jermyn Street in London, England, this Tudor Rose pot estate pipe features a flattened bite in the saddle stem and a lightweight chassis for a remarkably comfortable clencher. Wide in the chamber for building a large ember, but not so deep as to be much more than an hour's smoke, this English pot is terrifically grained along one side of the bowl and significantly less so on the other. The chamber is in excellent condition but there is some darkening along the broad rim over the thick walls and wear around the outer shoulder on the front of the bowl. Even the stem's logo has been well worn though it is still present and legible. Otherwise this classic English briar holds a well placed draft down at the bottom and a compelling smooth draw.
