Densely grained with a solid patch of birdseye covering the broad rim and the front of the shield shaped bowl, this large and smooth finished Manuel Shaabi estate pipe was made in 2007, the last year he produced any pipes before retiring due to his health. The thick walled chamber seems narrow in the pipe, but boasts a wide dimension and slightly cones to a perfectly placed draft hole at the very bottom. In excellent condition, this heirloom smoker draws remarkably well, both open and smooth, and deserves any blend that can be savored slowly in a comfortable chair.
