Handmade in Italy by the prodigious Savinelli, this Autograph estate pipe features a swath of sandblasted briar running the length of the stummel's underside. Everywhere else is finished smooth making the half bent Italian smoker a gorgeous display of both finishing techniques applied to an exceptional specimen. The oval shank carries a seam on both sides for a touch of style and the tapered stem has a slight pinch on both sides where a saddle would typically go making this half bent a touch lighter on the stem side. The huge chamber is surrounded by very thick walls and cones to a draft at the very bottom and center for burley friendly smoker that will do exceptionally well with any topped blend favorite. There are some patches of darkening around the rim that could not be removed and some very minor handling marks, but this handful of smooth drawing briar is still in outstanding condition.
