You may have never heard of Hans Brandt, but if you'd grown up in Denmark to enjoy pipe tobacco, you certainly would have. Son of a pipemaker and father to one, Hans worked in Copenhagen not far from Pipe Dan Tobacco Shop and is well regarded for his visionary style of freehand pipes. This light tan smooth Straightgrain is, as the name would suggest, covered in straight grain oriented to the three panel bowl and constructed in a lightweight package with just a hint at a half saddle. The chamber is narrow enough to do wonderfully flavorful things to a straight Virginia and is highly recommended for those who like their blends on the sweeter side. In excellent condition, this Danish smoker draws like a dream and promises several more lifetimes of satisfying sessions.
