Deeply sandblasted to reveal the natural growth rings and straight grain oriented to the dublin bowl, this group 4 sized Dunhill Shell Briar estate pipe carries a lot of forward cant in the classic shaped bowl. At some point the stem has been replaced and although we do not know who did the work, we can see it was well done producing a smooth and open draw worthy of this English-made icon. Otherwise this straight and tapered dublin from 1959 is in excellent condition with clear stampings as crisp as the day it left the factory in London.
