Although not technically a sitter, this GBD Collector Tapestry finished bent billiard will keep itself upright on a flat surface but rests on both the stummel and the button to do so. Made in the late 1970s before the merger with The Cadogan Group, this staggered saddled and partial blast finish was the last introduced by the English maker before the merger. The chamber here is massive, both wide and deep and makes for an excellent vessel to bring all the flavors out of a complex and tongue friendly blend with an inevitable large ember. There is some darkening around the smooth and beveled rim and the brass rhondelle has been lost, though the clear impression remains, otherwise this English bent is still in outstanding condition with a well placed draft, smooth draw, and a comfortably thin bite.
