Finished smooth in a dark and rich chestnut brown, this Matador bent and scoop dublin estate pipe has a wide, oval shank and a slim saddle stem to keep the weight to a minimum in its low slung and sleek profile. The cross-grain is marvelously dense and the tightly knit birdseye along the right side of the bowl is quite lovely. The wide chamber is suitable for any favorite broad cut or complex blend but not so deep as take more than an hour to enjoy top to bottom. There are quite a few minor handling marks and the inner rim is significantly darkened from use, but this lightweight and comfortable clencher is still in outstanding condition.
