Stanwell's DM stamping indicates pipes that were made specifically for the Danish Pipe Smoking Championships in Denmark. They represent some of the finest finishes done in distinct sandblasts and are typically very dark with some deep reds peeking out. This thick walled and classic straight tapered billiard from 1993 has a slim brass band as a shank face and comes from the original Stanwell Danish factory where they not only fit a delrin tenon, they also sleeved the mortise with delrin for a snug fit that can withstand lifetimes of regular use and remain as snug as the day it left for the contest. In excellent condition, this beautifully blasted billiard comes with its original cardboard box and sleeve and even includes the contest provided tamper.
