Details
Sleek and polished in a smooth finish with acres of dense and high-contrast grain on display, this sitter and completely bent dublin from New York pipemaker, Joe Skoda, actually has two separate drafts. One extends from the very bottom of the chamber through the flat part of the shank and runs all the way through the wood, capped by a black piece of ebonite with a tenon and mortise fit. The second draft runs down from the stem's transition and the result is a creative design with an excellent system of engineering for easy maintenance and a smooth draw. Trimmed with a spalted burl and stemmed with a limited edition ebonite brindle, this visually striking American handmade is impressive, but we suspect it will be such a great smoker that once lit, it will all fade away to be replaced by the tobacco's taste.
