Details
Older and part of the first generation of French-made GBDs, this Sablée Standard lumberman has an impressively long shank and a minimal, short saddle on the stem. Sandblasted to reveal growth rings across the entire stummel, this lengthy but lightweight smoker has lost a bit of its crispness due to age and the finish has been darkened with use, both especially around the rim. Still in great shape, the draft runs all the way to the very bottom of the chamber, which is in the sweet-spot being both wide enough to handle an English or aromatic of modest sized cut and a sweeter Virginia or fine ribbon.
