Simple and lightweight, there is never any doubt about the timelessness of the English billiard like this estate pipe from Bewlay. The inherent grain likely won't win any prizes and there are a number of flaws and fills in the surface finish, but this lightweight and comfortably clenched English smoker a narrow chamber perfect for enjoying a straight Viginia's sweet and grassy flavor with a thin bit perfect for an all-day companion. There is some ware at the inner rim and it does look to have been slightly sun bleached along the top of the shank and rim - as if stationary in a rack with the bowl facing the window for many years. Those aesthetic distraction do not change the fact that this billiard still has a smooth, open draw eager to handle any sweeter blends.
