Details
Given two extra panels around the hexagonal bowl than a traditional foursquare shape, this GBD Prehistoric estate pipe from the pre-Cadogan days before production went downhill has a minimal square saddle stem to match and as a result, a very lightweight bearing. The ring revealing sandblast highlights the growth pattern all the way around this sitter and aside from some modest rim darkening along the smooth and polished rim, is in outstanding condition save some ware in the stampings. Wide enough in the chamber to easily handle a favorite Balkan, Lakeland, or English blend, this comfortable clencher from England draws well and is open just right for broader cut leaf.
