Quite a handful with a seam on each side of the cat's eye shank, this handmade smooth freehand from Texas pipe maker, Bill Walther is a substantial amount of briar and chamber. The rim and shank's face are covered with plateau and the mortise has been reinforced with brass and then rusticated to fit into the texture of the shank. Fitted with a flared saddle stem that has been sculpted to follow the contours of the transition, this smooth finished and large capacity handmade has a lean look despite its considerable size. Straight grain and auburn tones dress up the surface and the orientation is perfect for the shape of this impressive pipe.
