Beautiful and smooth, this contrast finished bent handmade from Charl Goussard has some excellent straight grain on display and with an under bent stem, was designed to be a clenching companion. Carved from the wood close to the outer bark of the briar's burl, there is some plateau on the underside of the bowl proving this shape was as close to the outer edge as could be managed. The narrow chamber is just the right size for a virginia or va/per blend and is deep enough to keep even a quick paced puffer satisfied for hours at a time. Remarkably smooth in the draw, like all of the South African carver's work, this blonde and bent beauty is precisely ramped in the mortise to easily pass a cleaner to the bottom of the bowl.
