Thick walled and amply chambered with enough room to tackle either a strong Balkan blend or a native aromatic, this Danish-made Monarch estate pipe has had a new stem fitted here in our workshop. Tuned with a polished and open slot to be an even better smoker than the original, this smooth finished and tapered smoker now has an excellent draw. There are a number of handling marks and some patches of darkening at the front and back of the rim, but this lightweight and easily clenched pot is still in great shape.
