A large, plump bowl and a round, subtly tapered shank mark this GBD Conquest estate pipe as a classic English apple and the deep, ring revealing sandblast as part of the famous English maker's Prehistoric finish offerings from the 1970s. The smooth bevel above the bowl and the saddle stem are nice features for reducing the chances of a careless burn mark on the rim and a lighter bearing that all clenchers appreciate. There is some inner rim darkening, but this steady and wonderfully smooth drawing sitter is still in outstanding condition.
