Handmade in Italy from the generationally trained pipe carvers at Savinelli, this Autograph estate pipe is both smooth and rusticated with a strip of carving along the back of the bowl that bisects the shank. Deeply bent with a truly massive bowl and chamber, this wide and plateau rimmed beauty is far too heavy to be a clencher, though still comfortable between the teeth for a short time. There is some darkening along inner rim, just outside the smooth and polished bevel, but this breathtaking display of size and naturally contrasting grain is still in excellent condition with so much room in the chamber even a fast paced puffer will be satiated for hours at a time. There is room for a 6mm filter in the wide tenon, though not necessary for a great smoke.
