Pugnacious is the word that comes to mind when examining this chubby bent apple from late carver R.C. Sands. The shank possesses a slight reverse taper that gives this pipe a somewhat Danish element, but the strong chin is reminiscent of the Italian school of design. Unpretentious and thick walled, it is definitely more of a holder than clencher, but the acrylic stem is very comfortable in mouth. An open draw ensures this will be an excellent puffer, and versatile bowl dimensions mean this pipe will be suitable for virtually any blend.
