A hybrid shape combining elements of the cherrywood, dublin, and pear, this handmade sitter from Martin Paljesek is finished smooth with a high-contrast display of flame and straight grain wrapped all the way around the tipping forward bowl. The wide shank is extended with a bright piece of buffalo horn connected to a sculpted saddle stem that is slightly curved for a touch of asymmetry. The broad and beveled rim is packed with birdseye and sits above a large chamber of cylindrical design ideal for a favorite natural blend from England or any favorite palate pleaser.
