At this stage it's an open question whether or not tear-drop shaped shanks are more emblematic of Danish or American pipes, but we do know that this David McCarter estate pipe is incredibly compelling. It is odd how some carver's have renown heaped upon them, yet others, whose work is just as good if not better, remain fairly unknown. We've seen a few McCarter pipes and all have been well crafted. This pipe is no exception, with its compact proportions, comfortable hand-cut stem, and charming accent. This pipe is UNSMOKED, and ready to be discovered.
