This 30 catalogue acorn shape, or sometimes strawberry, is attributed to Sixten Ivarsson and this Stanwell estate pipe is old enough that his hands may have even very well been responsible for its actual shaping in the factory. A stepped stem mirrors the look of a military mount and the radial cross-grain on this smooth finished and lightweight briar leaves the entire left side framed in birdseye. The slightly conical chamber has plenty of room for English and Balkan blends to reveal all their complex flavors and clenchers will appreciate how lightweight this lengthy smoker is. There are some minor handling marks and some wear around the rounded rim where it has been tapped out, but this Danish production pipe is in outstanding condition.
