Details

 Lines and curves and swells and repeating crescendos and a whole bunch of other glittering generalities can all be aptly applied to the description of this pipe.  Octagonal panels frame the top of the bowl, but the seams play tricks as they move down the sides with a four sided shank tapering to a long four sided stem.  The panels bulge slightly to give a stronger, solid look.  There is a ton of wood here but the pipe does look larger than it actually is.  The blast is deep and consistent as expected from this American carver.
