Jared Coles Pipe Bent Apple with Citrus Wood and 23K Gold Leaf

Sumptuous and magnificently grained, this high-contrast bent apple from Jared features an insert in the cookie jar saddle of citrus wood, providing a very clean trim to this mesmerizing smooth briar.  Wrapped in dense grain all around the stummel, the bottom is an explosion of birdseye packed together for a stunning display of briar's radial end grain.  Jared even took the time to fill in the very outer edge of the plateau's kiss with gold leaf making a fitting decoration for a fantastic specimen like this.  All that would be enough to make any pipe enthusiast excited, but like all of Jared's creations, this bent apple is drilled with an equally impressive draw and tapered chamber promising not only turned heads when on display, but a stunning prowess when also lit.
