Not a true red, but finished smooth with a rich burgundy that won't wear off in your hand like other cheaply finished factory pipes, this Charatan Belvedere estate pipe is a classic English billiard, known as #4420 from the famous catalog. A double comfort saddle stem keeps the hefty weight from being too cumbersome and the large bowl holds a well insulated chamber of cylindrical design with a draft hole all the way at the very bottom. There is some very minor inner rim darkening, but otherwise this round shanked and large capacity smoker is in excellent condition.
