Vollmer & Nilsson Pipe Apple with Black Palm

Wide in the chamber, this gorgeously finished smooth apple from Vollmer & Nilsson, the pipe making team of half-brothers from Sweden, is full of dense straight grain around the bowl and a full swath of birdseye pattern around the thick and rounded rim.  The black palm is not a ferrule but a complete band expertly crafted over the briar shank and cut with the grain giving the flare a chance to showcase the material in a fantastic and unique natural design.  Left clean without a bowl coat, this English and Balkan smoker is a purist's dream come true and meant to be passed on for generations of smoking satisfaction.
