Tom Richard Tan Blast Apple with Rosewood and Purple Brindle Estate Pipe

Who says all great pipes have to be dull and conservative.  Tom Richard took this simple blast apple and dressed it up considerably with a band of acrylic, a flared ferrule of rosewood, and a crowned purple brindle stem.  Much like the Danish masters that celebrate color, as opposed to avoiding it, we can't help but picking it up and studying the contrasts again and again.  The blonde blast has darkened with use but still reveals plenty of rings and the sinuous shaping is spot on.  Perhaps this lovely smoker is best suited for those occasions when mediocre-everyday-plain-old-more-of-the-same just won't do.
