Stanwell de Luxe Bent Freehand with Plateaux Estate Pipe

Technically this Stanwell de Luxe bent freehand estate pipe does not have a Stanwell stamping and is identified by the stamped logo on the fancy Danish stem.  We recognize the stampings and font and there is no question this gorgeously grained and plateaued freehand is both well shaped and well drilled.  The conical chamber is drilled with a draft at the bottom and the draw is plenty smooth enough to offer a dry, sweet smoke.  There is some rim darkening toward the back of the inner rim and there is a single dark spot on the front of the bowl close to the heel, though there is also about a half inch of good wood insulating the spot from the bottom of the chamber.  There is also a toothmark on both the top and bottom of the button. Otherwise this production pipe is in great shape and deserves a large cut or native aromatic blend.
