Stanwell Best Make 83 (Reg. Era) Sandblast Bent Billiard Estate Pipe with Replacement Stem

This Stanwell Best Make bent billiard estate pipe dates back at least over half a century to before the famous Danish maker stopped stamping the number on pipes in 1970.  While this isn't the original stem, the replacement was well done with a flush fit, polished slot with rounded corners, and a resulting smooth draw worthy of any handmade.  The sandblast finish retains a bit of its original contrast though it, and the stampings, are somewhat worn from two generations worth of trips to the buffing wheel.  Otherwise in outstanding condition, this lightweight and thin bite, comfortable clencher has a wide chamber very interested in a complex hybrid or straight English blend.  Note that this pipe does come with its original sleeve.
