Stanwell 113 (1997 Make) Canadian with Silver Plaquette Estate Pipe

We aren't sure what the significance of the silver plaquette might be other than we are sure the pipe was made in 1997 and Esbjerg is a sea side city in Denmark's southwest Jutland peninsula.  Possibly a pipe club or city sponsored smoking contest, this very Danish straight and long, oval shanked billiard dates back to when they were still being fitted with a delrin tenon and sleeve for a snug fit that will never work its way loose.  There is some considerable wear and darkening at the rim, but this straight smoker has a deep, slightly conical chamber perfect for almost any cut or genre of tobacco.
