Sasieni Four Dot Natural Middlebrook Bulldog Estate Pipe

We don't know exactly which year this Sasieni Four Dot Natural Middlebrook estate pipe was made, but the series only existed from 1949 through the 1970s.  We have seen other Middlebrooks and the are usually bent with a flattened bottom, though this one is a straight bulldog with a rhodesianesque bowl at a considerable forward cant, leaving us to believe this was a later model.  The dense grain's orientation is from side to side revealing a spectacular view of birdseye framed into the bowl no matter which way you look at the pipe.  There is some very minor inner rim darkening, but this English smoker is in excellent condition with a particularly wide chamber for large ember building and a draft hole all the way on the bottom - dead center in the bowl.
