Sam Cui Bent High-Contrast Paneled Blowfish with Boxwood Estate Pipe

Brilliantly shaped with a balance of flared saddle and an extension of boxwood, this handmade bent blowfish from Chinese carver, Sam Cui has no less than eight panels around the shank and an asymmetry that perfectly captures the cross-grain of the briar.  Framed in birdseye, especially in contrast on the right side of the bowl, this perfectly executed neo-Danish design is also marvelously drilled with a sensuous draw that is open and smooth.  In near pristine condition, this handmade comes with its original sleeve.
