Richard Garofalo Pipe Smooth Whale with Ivorite

Inspired from both aquatic and organic shapes, this double finned whip tailed and freehand whale from American carver, Richard Garofalo features a slim band of ivorite and an amber swirled acrylic stem.  The top curve of this asymmetric and smooth finished stummel gives the whole pipe the same energy as watching a large mammal break the surface of the water.  Sculpted is a better word than carved, and in Richard's case, briar is his medium.  Impeccably drilled with a smooth and open draw, this beautiful beast of briar will make a great smoker in addition to any display rack gem.
