Ratos Select Old Briar 156 Billiard (6mm Filter) UNSMOKED Estate Pipe

Completely UNSMOKED and drilled with an unusual chamber, this French-made billiard from Ratos features a classic, tapered profile in a smooth finish.  The chamber itself is conical, which isn't so different from many other pipes, but the inner walls have been carved with divots to crater out extra room for the tobacco to expand while burning.  We haven't tried it ourselves, but the engineering is specifically designed to widen the margin of error when packing the bowl so it is easier to keep an ember going without having to stop and relight.  Our best recommendation is for a fine ribbon cut aromatic which will take full advantage of the design and result in maintenance free satisfaction.
