Unusually grained with rippling straight grain running up the shank and fanning out along both sides of the bowl while the top and bottom of the stummel are oriented with cross-grain, this smooth and high contrast finished bent horn from Ranz Freehand is a celebration of inherent beauty not often showcased in handmade briars.  The thick walls house a wide and cylindrical chamber perfect for broad cuts and complex blends friendly to the tongue and although this pipe is too heavy for clenching, it will keep the fingers cool while being a palm friendly smoker.  Smooth and open in the draw, this American handmade is stemmed with acrylic that will never oxidize and promises to be remain an impressive looker for generations.
