Peterson Kildare 150 Bulldog with P-Lip Estate Pipe

With only a few and slight variations to the traditional English bulldog, this Peterson Kildare estate pipe from Ireland has a good length of shank balanced with a saddled P-Lip stem.  Light enough to keep clenched, this wide chambered smoker is finished smooth to show off a cross-grain orientation including a dense display of end grain birdseye.  There is some darkening across the rim and this Irish rhodesian has been to the buffing wheel often enough ware down the original stampings, though they are still legible.  Otherwise this diamond shanked clencher suffers from some aggressive bite marks just past the P-Lip, though with this design, aggressive clenching is encouraged.
