Orlik De Luxe L117 Bulldog Estate Pipe

Diamond shanked with a matching saddle, this straight bulldog Orlik de Luxe bulldog from England is a terrific example of the English and iconic shape.  The bowl carries the traditional design element of the double bead around the widest part of the rhodesian bowl and the chamber here isn't so deep but is particularly wide.  There is some modest charring inside, though a few smokes and a little cake will remedy the issue (we do love it when the best thing for a pipe's health is to smoke it) and there was no need for any coating as the wall is so thick.  There is some rim darkening, both above and below the rim's shoulder, and aside from the expected minor handling marks the stampings are somewhat worn, though remain clearly legible.  In great shape with a compelling and smooth draw, this clenchable smoker is eager for any excuse to break in a new favorite flake or coin.
