Nils Frederiksen Pipe Carved Devil Anse with Masur Birch

Oval in the shank and perfectly tapered without ever breaking the plane to concave, this handmade, carved Devil Anse from Nils Frederiksen in Denmark is rustically elegant in all the best ways.  Rugged in texture with balance and clean lines, the top of the bowl and sharply rounded rim is left smooth and shaped to be resistant to darkening from an errant lighter swipe.  Adorned with an insert of masur birch, this canted smoker has a conical chamber just the right size for a straight Virginia or Va/Per blend with a draft hole conveniently placed in the dead center at the bottom for as maintenance free smoke as possible.
