Marinko Neralić Pipe (376/19) 1/4 Bent Tipsy Volcano with Tobacco Ring and Plateau

As anyone can tell you, artisan pipes are full of small touches that can only be achieved when made from the soul of their creators.  This asymmetric volcano from MPipes is an outstanding example.  First, the grain is fantastic and wraps around the vesuvian bowl as if it had been painted there.  Next is the bottom of the stummel where plateau has been incorporated into the shape next to a swollen center.  The effect is like the ripples of a pond undulating outward toward the edge of the birdseye ridden briar.  And finally, the ring of acrylic at the end of the shank engulfs actual tobacco from Marinko's own stock as he set the acrylic himself.  Wonderfully thought out and that would be enough, but wait till you smoke this smooth drawing smoker with a visibly well cut slot in the stem that will never oxidize.
