Jan Pietenpauw Sandblast Cutty with Nickel Estate Pipe
Item # ME243692$225.00
Details
One of the oldest known shapes of briar pipes, this handmade and sandblast cutty estate pipe comes from South African pipemaker, Jan Pietenpauw, and includes a trim of wide nickel to balance out the long tapered stem of acrylic. A single pot on the bottom is flat enough to allow the pipe to sit, balanced on its button. The conical chamber is well insulated in the canted forward bowl and the draw here is fantastic, promising a stunning smoke to accompany this traditional shape. There is some rim darkening toward the back of the bowl, but this cutty is still in outstanding condition.
