GBD New Standard 9438 (Pre Cadogan) Bent Bullmoose Estate Pipe with Replacement Stem

One of GBDs most popular shapes before the 1980 merger with the Cadogan Group, this muscular bullmoose estate pipe has been re-stemmed at some point in its history.  Original date of manufacture was between the end of WWII and the late 1970s, we would put this straight grain and double beaded rhodesian around the end of the 60s.  We did not do the stem replacement but it is well done and the draw is exceptionally smooth and open to support the wide, if not so very deep, chamber.  There is some darkening around the back of the rim and there are minor handling marks about the stumme, but this chubby and stalwart smoker is still in outstanding condition.
