GBD International 9692 (Pre-Cadogan) Bent Bell Dublin with Oval Shank Estate Pipe
Item # EE267353Sold Out
Details
A wide and oval shank combined with a tall bowl and a slim saddle stem make this GBD International a fetching smoker. Likely made just before the Cadogan merger in the late 1970s, this bent and English briar has a rusticated rim to resemble the plateau models popular in its time. The deep chamber is mostly cylindrical though there is a slight taper towards the bottom and the drilling is excellent providing a smooth draw and a draft hole well placed to finish all the tobacco in the bowl with a good pack, slow pace, and a minimum of re-lights. There are a few very minor flaws in the finish and the pre-darkened rim has been darkened further with use but this bent beauty is still in great shape and is recommended for broader cuts especially a native English or strong Balkan blend.
