E Wilke (J.T. Cooke) Large Bent Bulldog Estate Pipe
Item # AE256700Sold Out
Details
Voluminous with a fair bit of heft along the shank/bowl transition, this early J.T. Cooke handmade estate pipe comes from his days at E. Wilke in New York City. The large bowl and tapered shank are even more impressive when in hand and grain revealing smooth finish doesn't hurt in the least. In outstanding condition with just a small patch of inner rim darkening and some handling marks about the bowl, this American-made briar beast has a massively wide and deep chamber for tongue friendly blends and large, broad cuts of tobacco. Smooth in the draw and an excellent specimen of the retired American pipemaker's work, this large rhodesian may not be a sandblast, but will be a boon for any smoker who appreciates a longer session.
