E. Wilke Bent Freehand Sitter with Plateaux Estate Pipe

Made in New York for the famous E. Wilke pipeshop, this tall and extraordinarily well grained freehand sitter estate pipe has acres and acres of straight grain on display in a smooth polish of contrasting grain.  The plateau rim and shank's facing are both densely packed with the resulting end-grain, and while there is some obvious and significant darkening across the broad and elongated rim, this gorgeous American handmade is still in outstanding condition.  Flat at the bottom and shaped with its own kickstand firmly in place, this beautiful briar sits with ease at a poised position and features a marvelously deep chamber and an exceptionally smooth draw.
